Line Rainville may have secured her spot as the most die-hard Trekkie when she spent $30,000 to turn her basement into the Star Trek Enterprise.
Rainville, a Canadian woman, says that she has been a fan of Star Trek ever since it came out and that she loves all of the series. She told the Huffington Post Canada that her favorite part of her home is the living room, which now looks like the bridge of the USS Enterprise. Rainville also said that she didn’t expect how interested the media would be in her redesigned home.
Rainville first watched Star Trek with her father when she was nine years old. She said that she use to look forward to Tuesdays every week so that she could watch the newest episode. Her recreation of the Star Trek ship took around a year to complete and she said that sometimes it felt like an obsession, reports Metro.
“I had put in so much energy seeking what I wanted that to accept failure is difficult, even to this day,” Rainville told UPI.com “Although people say they are impressed with the decor, I know well each inaccuracy, the exact places that I could improve.”
