The overhaul is meant to make the desktop TWTR website appear more like the mobile device versions, improving the consistency of the web interface across platforms. TWTR says that the updated website will mirror the appearance of the TWTR apps for Apple’s (AAPL) iOS and Google’s (GOOG) Android mobile operating systems, PC Magazine notes.
Changes to the TWTR desktop website will include tweaks to fonts and colors. The website’s layout will also be altered to better complement TWTR mobile apps.
In December, TWTR updated its apps for iOS and Android to make it easier for users to share photos privately.
TWTR held a successful IPO in November. TWTR stock has risen more than 25% since its debut, but has fallen back from a December high above $70 a share.
TWTR stock climbed almost 1% in Tuesday morning trading, trading above $58 a share.
