Zynga (ZNGA) has announced that it will start accepting Bitcoins in some of its games.
Bitcoins were valued below $1,000 before ZNGA announced they could be used in its games, but now they have increased in value to $1,045. Some of the games that will allow players to use Bitcoins include: FarmVille 2, CastleVille and several other games. The games will accept the virtual currency through a system called BitPay. ZNGA’s may choose to incorporate Bitcions int more of its services if this test goes well, reports Bloomberg.
“Zynga is always working to improve our customer experience by incorporating player feedback into our games,” the company told GameSpot. “We look forward to hearing from our players about the Bitcoin test so we can continue in our efforts to provide the best possible gaming experience.”
ZNGA shares had increased over 1% as of Monday afternoon.
