The engine delivers 301 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque while running a 2015 Chevy Silverado on compressed natural gas.
Given the lower price of compressed natural gas, compared to gasoline, owners of 2015 Chevy Silverado models running on natural gas could save more than $2,000 a year in fuel costs, though the option will likely substantially increase the purchase price of the heavy-duty pickup trucks.
Compressed natural-gas tanks and fuel systems on 2015 Chevy Silverado models are protected by full Chevy warranties.
