A man got his ’57 Chevy back only a few decades after it was stolen.
A 65-year-old Northern California man was shocked to learn that his car was still around and in better condition than when he had it. The California Highway Patrol called him to let him know that they had his long-lost ’57 Chevy.
The vehicle was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship and it had a lot of work done since its 1984 disappearance. The mechanic who worked on it said it was in poor shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with the intent of fixing it.
