Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez has been moved to 30 days of isolation following a jail fight with a fellow inmate.
The former New England Patriots tight end will spend 23 hours a day and eat his meals in an isolated unit. Hernandez will be in that cell due to a “physical altercation” with another inmate in a common area of the jail.
The inmate was restrained even though Hernandez was not at the time. Sheriff Tom Hodgson lashed out at his staff for allowing this incident to happen as only one inmate is allowed in the common area at one time.
Aaron Hernandez is in jail for first-degree murder without bail following the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.
The jail fight is being investigated by the sheriff and the rest of the staff.
