Netflix Streaming to Add New Episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star_Wars_Logo[1]Fans of the Star Wars franchise who subscribe to Netflix (NFLX[2]) will soon have something new to add[3] to their Netflix streaming queues.

In March, the final season of the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars will hit Netflix streaming. The exclusive add is a coup for Netflix streaming. The final season of Clone Wars was produced for TV, but never aired. The 13 episodes will have their first run on Netflix streaming, Re/Code notes.

Netflix streaming will also offer the five previous seasons of Clone Wars that originally aired on Time Warner’s (TWX[4]) Cartoon Network. The new Clone Wars episodes will hit Netflix streaming on Mar. 6.

Disney (DIS[5]) acquired Lucasfilm[6], which produced the Clone Wars series, in 2012.

NFLX shares fell about 1% in Thursday pre-market trading. NFLX stock has over the past year.
