Philly area residents had a rough morning as a PA Turnpike pile up caused traffic jams and accidents involving over 100 cars.
The PA Turnpike pile up was caused by ice left behind from the massive storm that hit the East Coast over the last few days. The pileup occurred five hours after the storm ended and less than three hours after speed restrictions were lifted.
However, many Philly area car drivers and motorists said that the roads were still very icy and numerous accidents occurred. At least 30 people were injured and taken to hospitals nearby but there were no serious injuries.
