Samsung may reveal details abut the Galaxy S5 at an event it’s hosting on Feb. 24 at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress. The event is being called “Unpacked 5.” Samsung has held similar events in the past when it revealed the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Gear watch and Galaxy Note 3, reports USA Today.
While Samsung hasn’t confirmed that the Galaxy S5 will be revealed at the Unpacked 5 event, it did say that it will be launching the Galaxy S5 and a new smartwatch by April, USA Today notes.
Another rumor involving the Samsung Galaxy S5 claims that the phone will be more powerful than Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 6. According to the rumor, which comes from KDB Daewoo Securities, the Galaxy S5 will come with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch or 5.25-inch screen, a 3,200 mAh battery, a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. The rumor also states that the phone will have storage options ranging from 32GB to 128GB, reports Yahoo.
Another rumor surrounding the Galaxy S5 claims that it will have eye scanning technology.
Samsung also recently announced a new 105-inch TV at CES, but the announcement went south when Micheal Bay messed up his introduction for the device.
