Tesla (TSLA) is investigating a fire in Canada related to a Tesla Model S owner’s battery.
The Toronto driver left their car in their garage after a drive and the Tesla Model S wasn’t plugged in to recharge when the fire occurred. The fire detector went off and the fire department arrived shortly after being called.
Tesla is investigating the matter but it has yet to determine the exact cause of the fire. The company said that the fire did not originate from “the battery, the charging system, the adapter or the electrical receptacle, as these components were untouched by the fire.”
TSLA stock is up 0.2% Friday.
