A stockbroker has filed a lawsuit against the Wolf of Wall Street, claiming that they portrayed him in a negative light in the movie.
Andrew Greene is suing the movie’s producers for $25 million for basing the character of Nicki “Rugrat” Koskoff off of him. He says that The Wolf of Wall Street lawsuit is a result of producers portraying him as a “depraved” drug-fuelled criminal.
Greene used to work for Stratton Oakmont — the firm established by Jordan Belfort — between 1993 and 1996 as the head of the firm’s corporate finance department. He was also in Stratton Oakmont’s board of directors.
The stockbroker claims that Martin Scorsese and the producers butchered his character and he did not consent to his characterization in The Wolf of Wall Street. Greene said that his image has been “permanently” damaged by the movie.
