Chrysler Orders Schools to Crush Rare Dodge SRT Vipers

Chrysler has ordered schools with rare $250,000 Dodge SRT Vipers that were donated for educational purposes to destroy them.

According to the agreement between Chrysler and the schools, Chrysler may demand that donated cars be destroyed once they no longer serve an educational purpose. Chrysler claims that since the cars are over 10 years old, they are likely no longer used for education, reports ABC News.

Students at South Puget Sound Community College don’t want to comply with Chrysler’s demands because the car has become somewhat of a mascot for the school’s automotive program. The community college uses the Dodge Viper SRT at promotional events and students are making a petition to save the car, ABC News notes.
