Basic materials stocks rose 0.5% on Wall Street so far on Monday.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.6%, the Nasdaq was up 0.8% and the S&P 500 rose 0.6%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (CLF[1]): CLF stock is up 3.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Kapstone Paper and Packaging Corp (KS[2]): KS stock is up 3.1% today.

• Arcelormittal (MT[3]): MT stock is up 2.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Steel Dynamics (STLD[4]): STLD stock is up 2.1% today.

• Vale S.A. (VALE[5]): VALE stock is up 2.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Rio Tinto Plc (RIO[6]): RIO stock is up 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• RPM International Inc (RPM[7]): RPM stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Celanese Corp (CE[8]): CE stock is up 1.4% today.

• Huntsman Corp (HUN[9]): HUN stock is up 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Sealed Air Corp (SEE[10]): SEE stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Methanex Corp (MEOH[11]): MEOH stock is down 4.0% today.

• Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd (HMY[12]): HMY stock is down 3.4% today.

• Domtar Corp (UFS[13]): UFS stock is down 2.7% today.

• Anglogold Ashanti Ltd (AU[14]): AU stock is down 1.8% today.

• Novagold Resources Inc (NG[15]): NG stock is down 2.1% today.
