McDonald’s (MCD) is looking to recover from a very chilly winter with its Bacon Clubhouse Sandwich.
The burger chain’s new limited-time offer is a premium sandwich containing either a quarter-pound beef patty or a piece of crispy or grilled chicken. The Bacon Clubhouse Sandwich features an artisan roll, applewood-smoked bacon, caramelized grilled onions, white Cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato.
The sandwich is also the first McDonald’s product other than the Big Mac to use Big Mac sauce. The restaurant made introduced the Bacon Clubhouse Sandwich as part of a move to help it recover from a disappointing winter.
McDonald’s reported a 0.3% decline in global same-store sales in February, which included a 1.4% decrease in domestic same-store sales. The chain had mentioned that “challenging industry dynamics and severe winter weather” were to blame for this.
MCD stock is up about 3.6% Tuesday.
