Ex-Microsoft Employee Charged With Stealing Windows 8 Secrets

Alex Kibkalo, a former Microsoft (MSFT[1]) employee, allegedly gave confidential information[2] regarding Windows 8 to a blogger in France.

Microsoft-Windows-8-Secrets-msft-stock[3]According to Reuters, Kibkalo has been charged with giving the blogger confidential company documents and information prior to the release of Windows 8 in 2012. An investigation has revealed an email in the blogger’s Hotmail account that makes a connection between the two.

The charges against Kibkalo were filed on Monday[4] in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington and he was arrested on Wednesday.

Kibkalo worked for Microsoft for seven years and threatened to leave the company in 2012 after he got a poor performance review. He is currently living in Russia and is working for another U.S.-based technology company, Reuters notes.
