Readers who want more, and less, digital content from the New York Times will have new online subscription options beginning in April.
A premium options — dubbed Times Premier — will offer access to all NY Times content, plus special crossword puzzles, NY Times article compilations, and Times Insider, which provides a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes operations of the iconic newspaper. Times Premier will cost $45 for four weeks, MediaBistro notes.
NY Times fans who were looking for just the basics can subscribe to NYT Now, which culls lead articles from the newspaper as well as twice-daily news briefs. NYT Now will become available on Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone first. Four week NYT Now subscriptions are priced at $8, but is already available to current NY Times digital subscribers without an additional charge.
Both NY Times digital subscription options will be launched in April 2.
