Charlie Brown and Snoopy are getting the CGI treatment in the latest Peanuts trailer.
The one-minute teaser for the upcoming Peanuts movie shows that the film will be released next year in 3D. Although the comic strip is moving away from 2D animation, creator Charles Schulz’s son — Craig Schulz — assures that new movie will be authentic to his father’s work and legacy.
Producer Paul Feig echoed Schulz’s words, saying that “Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking.”
The Peanuts trailer reveals the first Charlie Brown movie since 1980’s Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!).
The movie is scheduled for a November 6, 2015 release and it will commemorate the strip’s 65th anniversary.
