Pope Francis is getting a lot of attention over a slip of the tongue during his Vatican blessing.
Pope Francis was giving the Vatican blessing on Sunday when he mispronounced the word “caso.” The Pope’s mispronunciation sounded a lot like another Italian word that roughly translates to the F-bomb. The mistake is one that is easy to make for someone who isn’t a native speaker of Italian, but that didn’t stop everyone from talking about the incident, reports The Los Angeles Times.
“If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this [expletive] — ” According to the Washington Times, Pope Francis paused for a second after this and then started the blessing again. “In this case the providence of God will become visible through this gesture of solidarity.”
