The addition of alcohol to thousands of Starbucks locations will also be accompanied by wine-bar appetizers. These new items will make up part of the company’s evening menu, which becomes available after 4 p.m., Businessweek notes.
The menu has already been tested in 40 other locations and will now be expanded to more stores. The company will focus on bringing the new menu options to locations in urban areas and hopes to catch customers that are out late at night at restaurants and theaters, reports Businessweek.
Starbucks is also teaming up with Oprah Winfrey to launch a new drink, the Teavana Oprah Chai Tea, to stores located in the United States and Canada on April 29.
