Financial stocks rose broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.8%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.8%, the Nasdaq increased 0.8% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.8%.

• Banco Santander-Chile Ads (BSAC[3]): BSAC stock is up 2.6% today.

• Och-Ziff Capital Management (OZM[4]): OZM stock is up 2.5% today.

• Alliance Data Systems Corp (ADS[5]): ADS stock is up 2.2% today.

• Verisk Analytics (VRSK[6]): VRSK stock is up 2.2% today.

• Fortress Investment Group (FIG[7]): FIG stock is up 2.2% today.

• Sterling Financial Corp (STSA[8]): STSA stock is up 2.1% today.

• Morgan Stanley (MS[9]): MS stock is up 2.1% today.

• Valley National Bancorp (VLY[10]): VLY stock is up 2.0% today.

Some of the biggest losers among financial stocks include:

• Mgic Investment Corp (MTG[11]): MTG stock is down 2.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Wisdomtree Invstmnts (WETF[12]): WETF stock is down 1.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Envestnet Inc (ENV[13]): ENV stock is down 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• The Carlyle Group L.P. (CG[14]): CG stock is down 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Assured Guaranty Ltd (AGO[15]): AGO stock is down 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• The Blackstone Group L.P. (BX[16]): BX stock is down 1.2% today.

• The Nasdaq Omx Group (NDAQ[17]): NDAQ stock is down 1.0% today.
