Healthcare stocks advanced broadly on Wall Street on Tuesday morning, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.8%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.1% higher, the Nasdaq increased 0.4% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.1%.

• Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (VRX[4]): VRX stock is up 6.4%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Perrigo Company (PRGO[5]): PRGO stock is up 5.9% today.

• Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc (ENDP[6]): ENDP stock is up 5.1% today.

• Salix Pharmaceuticals (SLXP[7]): SLXP stock is up 4.5%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Glaxosmithkline Plc (GSK[8]): GSK stock is up 4.5% today.

• Shire Plc American Depositary Shares (SHPG[9]): SHPG stock is up 4.0%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.
