Utilities stocks finished flat today on Wall Street.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.5%, the Nasdaq rose 0.8% and the S&P 500 was up 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Mdu Res Group Inc (MDU[1]): MDU stock is up 1.9% to a new 52-week high of $35.58.

• Covanta Holding Corp (CVA[2]): CVA stock is up 1.2% today.

• Oge Energy Corp (OGE[3]): OGE stock is up 1.2% today.

• Uil Holdings Corp (UIL[4]): UIL stock is up 1.1% today.

• Ugi Corp (UGI[5]): UGI stock is up 0.9% today.

• Vectren Corp (VVC[6]): VVC stock is up 0.9% to a new 52-week high of $40.29.

• Southwest Gas Corp (SWX[7]): SWX stock is up 0.8% today.

• Atmos Energy Corp (ATO[8]): ATO stock is up 0.8% today.

• California Water Service Group Holding (CWT[9]): CWT stock is up 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Cia De Saneamento Basico Do Estado (SBS[10]): SBS stock is up 0.7%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• Spectra Energy Corp (SE[11]): SE stock is down 1.0% today.

• Energy Transfer Partners (ETP[12]): ETP stock is down 0.9% today.

• Oneok Partners L.P. (OKS[13]): OKS stock is down 0.7% today.

• Energy Transfer Equity LP (ETE[14]): ETE stock is down 0.6% today.

• Kinder Morgan Energy Partners L.P. (KMP[15]): KMP stock is down 0.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Markwest Energy Partners LP (MWE[16]): MWE stock is down 0.5% today.

• Idacorp Inc (IDA[17]): IDA stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Nextera Energy (NEE[18]): NEE stock is down 0.3% today.

• One Gas Inc. (OGS[19]): OGS stock is down 0.3% today.

• El Paso Electric Company (EE[20]): EE stock is down 0.3% today.
