Chick-fil-A is looking to attract more health-conscious consumers with its new grilled menu.
The fast food chain’s new offerings include two new sandwiches and chicken nuggets, all made with grilled chicken. Chick-fil-A invested $50 million over seven years testing its grilled chicken recipe in order to perfect it.
“We started with a mission to create a best-in-class grilled sandwich,” said Chick-fil-A vice president Davide Farmer. “And after testing 1,200-plus recipes, we landed on a taste so remarkable that we decided to extend the flavor into a full grilled line.”
The restaurant’s Grilled Chicken Sandwich has 320 calories while the Chicken Club Sandwich sits at 440 calories. The Chick-fil-A Grilled Nuggets are especially healthy as they are free of trans fats and the eight-pack only contains 140 calories.
