FedEx Shooting: 6 Injured at Georgia Facility

Police enter after gunman kills self


Six people were injuring during a FedEx shooting in Georgia, which ended with the gunman killing himself at the facility.

Police say one person was critically injured in the workplace shooting this morning, which happened at FedEx (FDX) warehouse in Kennesaw, near the Cobb Country Airport.

“We are confirming that the suspect in this case is deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Cobb County police said in a statement.

Police surrounded the warehouse before entering and finding the gunman’s body.

No motive has yet been determined.

Cobb County Police spokeswoman Dana Pierce initially said there was an active and ongoing incident, but shortly before 9 a.m. police said the man suspected of carrying out the shooting was dead. The alleged gunman was found in the Bay Area of the warehouse and a weapon was found with him.

Investigators are looking into the incident and are expected to release the name of the gunman soon.
