Basic materials stocks finished up broadly 0.1% on Wall Street today.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.1%, the Nasdaq was down 0.8% and the S&P 500 fell 0.1%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Weyerhaeuser Company (WY[1]): WY stock is up 1.0% today.

• Nucor Corp (NUE[2]): NUE stock is up 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Kaman Corp (KAMN[3]): KAMN stock is up 0.7% to a new 52-week high of $41.94.

• Cameco Corp (CCJ[4]): CCJ stock is up 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• A. Schulman (SHLM[5]): SHLM stock is up 0.6% to a new 52-week high of $37.26.

• Albany International Corp (AIN[6]): AIN stock is up 0.5%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Southern Peru Copper Corp (SCCO[7]): SCCO stock is up 0.4%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Bemis Company (BMS[8]): BMS stock is up 0.4%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Sociedad Quimica Y Minera S.A. (SQM[9]): SQM stock is up 0.4% today.

• Commercial Metals Company (CMC[10]): CMC stock is up 0.4%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Balchem Corp (BCPC[11]): BCPC stock is down 2.9% today.

• Hecla Mining Company (HL[12]): HL stock is down 2.5% today.
