Utilities stocks rose 0.3% on Wall Street on Monday.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.3%, the Nasdaq increased 0.3% and the S&P 500 was up 0.3%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Dynegy Inc (DYN[1]): DYN stock is up 2.1% to a new 52-week high of $28.00.

• Newjersey Resources Corp (NJR[2]): NJR stock is up 1.7% today.

• South Jersey Industries (SJI[3]): SJI stock is up 1.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Piedmont Natural Gas Company (PNY[4]): PNY stock is up 1.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Duke Energy Corp (DUK[5]): DUK stock is up 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Ugi Corp (UGI[6]): UGI stock is up 1.0% to a new 52-week high of $46.82.

• Public Service Enterprise Group Inc (PEG[7]): PEG stock is up 0.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Agl Resources (GAS[8]): GAS stock is up 1.0%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Southern Company (SO[9]): SO stock is up 0.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Aqua America (WTR[10]): WTR stock is up 0.9%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• The Aes Corp (AES[11]): AES stock is down 0.6% today.

• NRG Energy (NRG[12]): NRG stock is down 0.6% today.

• Ameren Corp (AEE[13]): AEE stock is down 0.6% today.

• Transalta Corp (TAC[14]): TAC stock is down 0.4% today.

• Dte Energy Company (DTE[15]): DTE stock is down 0.5% today.
