Hottest Utilities Stocks Now – HNP GAS CIG EBR

Utilities stocks remained flat on Monday morning on Wall Street.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.6%, the Nasdaq fell 0.9% and the S&P 500 declined 0.6%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Huaneng Power Intl (HNP[1]): HNP stock is up 1.7% today.

• Agl Resources (GAS[2]): GAS stock is up 1.1% to a new 52-week high of $49.67.

• Comp En De Mn Cemig Ads (CIG[3]): CIG stock is up 0.9% today and up 24.3% in the last month.

• Centrais Elc Braz Pfb B Elbras (EBR[4]): EBR stock is up 0.9% today and up 59.0% in the last month.

• Korea Electric Power Corp (KEP[5]): KEP stock is up 0.6% today.

• Consolidated Edison Company of New York (ED[6]): ED stock is up 0.6%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Edison International (EIX[7]): EIX stock is up 0.6% today.

• Firstenergy Corp (FE[8]): FE stock is up 0.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Potomac Electric Power Company (POM[9]): POM stock is up 0.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Atmos Energy Corp (ATO[10]): ATO stock is up 0.4% today.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• Laclede Group (LG[11]): LG stock is down 1.6%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• NRG Energy (NRG[12]): NRG stock is down 0.9% today.

• Piedmont Natural Gas Company (PNY[13]): PNY stock is down 0.8% today.

• Cheniere Energy (LNG[14]): LNG stock is down 0.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• WGL Holdings Inc (WGL[15]): WGL stock is down 0.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Otter Tail Corp (OTTR[16]): OTTR stock is down 0.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• California Water Service Group Holding (CWT[17]): CWT stock is down 0.8%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• South Jersey Industries (SJI[18]): SJI stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Newjersey Resources Corp (NJR[19]): NJR stock is down 0.7% today.

• Boardwalk Pipeline Partners L.P. (BWP[20]): BWP stock is down 0.7% today.
