LIST: Ebay Signs Major Retailers to Same-Day Delivery Service

Online auction giant eBay (EBAY[1]) is expanding its same-day delivery service for brick-and-mortar retailers[2].

Ebay Now currently serves major retailers in New York City’s borough of Queens, Dallas, San Jose, Chicago and the San Francisco area. The company plans to bring eBay Now to 25 major metropolitan markets in the U.S. by the close of 2014. It is also looking at the possibility of taking eBay Now to overseas markets like London, ecommercebytes notes.

The service is not available for items sold through eBay’s auction website. Shoppers can purchase items on online storefronts from hundreds of retailers. The products will then be delivered — usually within 1 to 2 hours[4] — for a $5 fee per order.

• GameStop (GME[16])
• Staples (SPLS[17])
• GNC (GNC[18])

EBAY stock fell about 1% in Thursday morning trading. EBAY stock has been mostly flat over the past 12 months.
