A Washington woman is suing her mother’s neighbor for $275,000 over a pet duck attack.
Cynthia Ruddell was visiting her mother in Oregon when the pet duck attacked her. The duck belonged to Lolita Rose, who is a neighbor to Ruddell’s mother. When it attacked her, Ruddell fell over and broke her wrist and sprained her shoulder and elbow. Ruddell is seeking $25,000 for medical expenses and $250,000 for the pain and suffering from the pet duck attack, reports WebProNews.
This isn’t the first time that a pet duck has attack has occurred in the area. Others have reported being attacked by the duck and some say that it has attacked kids who were waiting at the bus stop to go to school. It’s believed that Rose had her pet duck killed after it attacked Ruddell, WebProNews notes.
Ruddell’s lawyer, Gregory Price, said that his client isn’t happy about all the attention the pet duck attack case is getting. He said that in future lawsuits he will refer to attacks as coming from domestic animals and not a duck.
