Pharrell Williams broke out into tears on Oprah on Sunday.
What was so emotionally moving that it caused Pharrell Williams to cry on TV? A compilation of fan-made videos of his number one song, Happy. Williams joked about not knowing why he was crying and went on to say that the video moved him because loves what he does and it showed that people appreciated his work, Belfast Telegraph notes.
“It’s been nothing short of truly astounding,” Shane Wallace, a cameraman for the company that made the video, told the Irish Independent. “It’s hard to believe that Donegal featured on Oprah, and that Pharrell broke down in the middle of it.”
Pharrell Williams’ Happy has appeared on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack and also on Williams new album, G I R L. The song was nominated for an Oscar, but lost to Let It Go from Disney’s (DIS) Frozen, reports Belfast Telegraph.
