The Ultimate Warrior’s cause of death has been revealed.
According to an autopsy that was conducted on Thursday, Ultimate Warrior died of cardiovascular disease. He was walking to his car from a hotel with his wife when he collapsed on April 8. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is no evidence of foul play surrounding the former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star’s death, CBS News notes.
When Ultimate Warrior’s death was first announced, CNN journalist Nancy Grace said it was likely caused by steroids. However, the death was considered natural, which means that no drugs or alcohol played a part in the wrestler’s death, Examiner.com notes.
The Ultimate Warrior was inducted into the WWE’s Hall of Fame at WrestleMania 30 just two days before he died. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
