VP Joe Biden Joins Instagram, Adds Brilliant POTUS/VPOTUS Selfie

VP quickly amasses tens of thousands of followers


Vice President Joe Biden has jointed Instagram (FB), adding a selfie with President Barack Obama and a shot that aims to give him some ‘cool cred.’

The nation’s second-in-command posted his first Instagram pic of himself seated in his office, with pair of his famed Ray Ban aviators front and center in the shot.

A pic posted yesterday is a ‘selfie’ with President Obama in the back of the presidential limo.

He writes of the Obama pic: “Found a friend to join my first selfie on Instagram. Thanks for following and stay tuned. –VP”

The Vice President has since added more than 54,700 followers.

But it’s not just all fun and games on Facebook’s Instagram: VP Joe Biden used his first day on the social media site to spotlight his Pittsburgh visit with Obama to discuss expanding job-training programs in the nation.

Instagram is becoming more useful for politicians who want to display their softer side.

FB stock is up 9% year to date.
