Microsoft (MSFT) is looking to launch a $399 Xbox One that does not come with Kinect.
The Microsoft console will be sold without the camera starting June 9. The move will help the company compete with the PS4 which is sold for the same price.
The Xbox One with Kinect is currently priced at $499. Microsoft is hoping that the $399 Xbox One will help it become more competitive in the high-end video game console market.
Microsoft made the move after a series of demands from customers who simply like to play the console without the camera.
MSFT stock is up about 1.7% Tuesday.
