Comcast (CMCSA) is planning on imposing data limits for all of its internet customers.
The company’s plan would essentially add extra charges to users who go over the allotted monthly data limits. The move would see Comcast follow Apple’s (AAPL) data model which charges extra for customers who go over their data limit.
The company has yet to set a limit but it believes that it would be either 350 gigabytes or 500 gigabytes per month. Comcast said that these data limits would not affect most consumers as these limits are enough to download up to 125 HD movies per month.
CMCSA stock is up close to 1% Thursday.
