Dish Network says that, beginning in the third quarter, its customers will be able to pay for their service with bitcoin. In a statement, Dish Network said it would partner with Coinbase to process bitcoin payments. Subscribers who make one-time payments through DISH’s will be able to use bitcoin, the Wall Street Journal notes.

In addition to bitcoin, Dish Network subscribers will still be able to make payments through bank accounts, credit cards and debit cards.

A number of retailers have added bitcoin as a payment option[5].

Dish Network begins its fiscal third quarter on July 1.

In Thursday morning trading, DISH stock rose modestly.
