Fast Food Strike: World-Wide Protest Planned for May 15
Workers from six continents have joined the strike
A global fast food strike is scheduled to happen next week as industry workers continue their push for higher wages.
A worldwide protest will be staged on May 15, representing the $15 hourly salary that workers are demanding. The fast food strike will include workers from all over the world including dozens of countries from six continents.
The protests will take place outside a number of McDonald’s (MCD), Burger King (BKW) and KFC (YUM) restaurants. At least four million workers are expected to take place in the fast food strike.
MCD stock is up close to 1% Wednesday. BKW stock is down about 0.6% and YUM stock is down 0.1%.
