The Ferris Bueller house where Cameron destroys his father’s Ferrari was just sold for $1.06 million.
The Highland Park, Illinois home was built in 1953 by A. James Speyer and it was listed at $2.3 million in 2009. The Chicago-area house is best-known for the Ferris Bueller scene where Cameron accidentally wrecks the car by sending it over a ravine.
The Ferris Bueller house has four bedrooms, four baths and it is made of steel and glass including the movie’s famous all-steel garage where Cameron “kills” his dad’s car. As recently as August, the car was going for $1.5 million but it looks like the buyer got a discount for the famous house.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was released in 1986 and it starred Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck and Mia Sara.
