Basic materials stocks finished flat on Tuesday on Wall Street.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.6%, the Nasdaq climbed 1.2% and the S&P 500 was up 0.6%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Cameco Corp (CCJ[1]): CCJ stock is up 2.6% today.

• Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL[2]): AXLL stock is up 1.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Dominion Diamond Corp (DDC[3]): DDC stock is up 1.9% today.

• Leucadia National Corp (LUK[4]): LUK stock is up 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• A. Schulman (SHLM[5]): SHLM stock is up 1.7%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Sociedad Quimica Y Minera S.A. (SQM[6]): SQM stock is up 1.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Olin Corp (OLN[7]): OLN stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Sealed Air Corp (SEE[8]): SEE stock is up 1.5% today.

• Mueller Industries (MLI[9]): MLI stock is up 1.4%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Curtiss-Wright Corp (CW[10]): CW stock is up 1.4%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Valhi Inc (VHI[11]): VHI stock is down 3.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Methanex Corp (MEOH[12]): MEOH stock is down 2.5% today.

• Fibria Celulose S.A. (FBR[13]): FBR stock is down 2.2% today.

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN[14]): BVN stock is down 1.7% to a new 52-week low of $10.59.

• Southern Peru Copper Corp (SCCO[15]): SCCO stock is down 1.6% today.

• Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD[16]): GOLD stock is down 1.6% today.

• Huntsman Corp (HUN[17]): HUN stock is down 1.6% today.

• Intrepid Potash Inc (IPI[18]): IPI stock is down 1.6% today.

• Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd (ACH[19]): ACH stock is down 1.4% today.
