Utilities stocks advanced 0.5% on Wall Street on Tuesday morning.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.3%, the Nasdaq climbed 0.3% and the S&P 500 rose 0.3%.
Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:
- Centrais Elc Braz Pfb B Elbras (EBR[1]): EBR stock is up 1.8% today.
- Comp En De Mn Cemig Ads (CIG[2]): CIG stock is up 1.5% today.
- Cheniere Energy (LNG[3]): LNG stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Atlas Energy Llc (ATLS[4]): ATLS stock is up 1.1% today.
- WGL Holdings Inc (WGL[5]): WGL stock is up 0.9% today.
- The Aes Corp (AES[6]): AES stock is up 0.9% today.
- Cpfl Energia S.A. (CPL[7]): CPL stock is up 0.8% today.
- Northeast Utilities (NU[8]): NU stock is up 0.9% today.
- Uil Holdings Corp (UIL[9]): UIL stock is up 1.0% today.
- Scana Corp (SCG[10]): SCG stock is up 0.9% today.
Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:
- Oneok Partners L.P. (OKS[11]): OKS stock is down 2.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Entergy Corp (ETR[12]): ETR stock is down 1.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Boardwalk Pipeline Partners L.P. (BWP[13]): BWP stock is down 0.5% today.
- Markwest Energy Partners LP (MWE[14]): MWE stock is down 0.5% today.
- Vectren Corp (VVC[15]): VVC stock is down 0.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Otter Tail Corp (OTTR[16]): OTTR stock is down 0.5% today.
- Allete Inc (ALE[17]): ALE stock is down 0.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Korea Electric Power Corp (KEP[18]): KEP stock is down 0.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
