Utilities stocks advanced 1.1% on Wall Street on Tuesday morning.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.5% higher, the Nasdaq rose 0.6% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Firstenergy Corp (FE[1]): FE stock is up 5.8% today.

• Exelon Corp (EXC[2]): EXC stock is up 4.5% today.

• NRG Energy (NRG[3]): NRG stock is up 3.3%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• American Electric Power Company (AEP[4]): AEP stock is up 2.4% today.

• PPL Corp (PPL[5]): PPL stock is up 1.9% today.

• The Aes Corp (AES[6]): AES stock is up 1.7% today.

• Calpine Corp (CPN[7]): CPN stock is up 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Empire District Electric Company (EDE[8]): EDE stock is up 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Dynegy Inc (DYN[9]): DYN stock is up 2.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• El Paso Electric Company (EE[10]): EE stock is up 1.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• Korea Electric Power Corp (KEP[11]): KEP stock is down 3.4% today.

• Huaneng Power Intl (HNP[12]): HNP stock is down 3.0% today.

• Comp En De Mn Cemig Ads (CIG[13]): CIG stock is down 2.6% today.

• Centrais Elc Braz Pfb B Elbras (EBR[14]): EBR stock is down 1.0% today.

• Enbridge Inc (ENB[15]): ENB stock is down 0.9% today.

• Empresa Nacional De Electricidad S.A. (EOC[16]): EOC stock is down 1.2% today.

• Ormat Technologies (ORA[17]): ORA stock is down 0.8% today.

• Dcp Midstream Partners LP (DPM[18]): DPM stock is down 0.7% today.
