Toyota (TM) has issued a massive Toyota recall that affects three of the company’s brands.
370,000 Sienna minivans are being recalled because of loose spare tires that could fall off and cause a car crash. The Toyota recall has also affected the company’s Lexus brand as 10,500 GS 350 sedans have faulty brake lights that might not turn on when the driver applies the brakes on the vehicle.
The automaker also announced that it will fix a design flaw in its 2014 Highlander and Highlander hybrid crossover SUVs. The vehicles’ airbag softwares need to be reprogrammed because the system is sometimes incapable of detecting larger passengers and providing them with airbags that are inflated enough to protect them.
TM stock is up 1.7% Thursday.
