Ventas Inc. (VTR) — Ventas Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT), has geographical diversity with a portfolio of seniors’ housing and healthcare properties throughout the U.S.
Click to Enlarge Standard & Poor’s expects 2014 revenues to increase about 6.7%, “driven by 2013 acquisitions in the medical office and senior housing sectors.” S&P is looking for per-share funds from operations of $4.13 in 2013 to expand to $4.40 in 2014. Ventas pays an annual dividend yield of 4.36%. S&P has a 12-month objective of $73.
Technically, VTR has run to a six-month high, breaking from an ascending triangle in early April. Note the golden cross (50-day moving average crosses up through 200-day MA), a very bullish signal. Also note the increase in buying volume and the new breakout on Thursday to a new seven-month high.
The trading target for VTR is $75.
