Basic materials stocks rose 0.5% on Wall Street on Friday.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.5% higher, the Nasdaq was up 0.6% and the S&P 500 rose 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Huntsman Corp (HUN[1]): HUN stock is up 4.1% to a new 52-week high of $28.72.

• Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO[2]): EGO stock is up 2.9% today.

• Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK[3]): BAK stock is up 2.5% today.

• Alcoa Inc (AA[4]): AA stock is up 2.5% to a new 52-week high of $14.35.

• Innospec Inc (IOSP[5]): IOSP stock is up 2.4% today.

• Century Aluminum Company (CENX[6]): CENX stock is up 2.2% to a new 52-week high of $14.92.

• Clearwater Paper Corp (CLW[7]): CLW stock is up 2.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Mueller Water Products (MWA[8]): MWA stock is up 2.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Polypore International Inc (PPO[9]): PPO stock is up 1.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Albany International Corp (AIN[10]): AIN stock is up 1.9% today.
