Police in Dubai ride in style.
The oil-rich emirate — part of the United Arab Emirates — has assembled a “super fleet” of police vehicles, including a $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron, possibly making its the fastest police car in the world, Vocativ.com reports.
The Bugatti, which can hit 267 miles per hour, is part of a police car fleet that includes Mercedes, Ferraris, Aston Martins and Lamborghinis.
But luxury car fans shouldn’t fret … the high-end police cars in Dubai are mostly used to drum up tourism to the emirate and aren’t put to risk chasing criminals.
The Dubai police fleet — including what may be the world’s fastest police car — is valued at $6 million.
Dubai, which covers less than 1,600 square miles, is home to more than 2 million people.
