People occasionally talk about MySpace when reminiscing but it looks like the website is attempting to make a comeback.
The social network is emailing inactive users with old pictures of them in order to lure them back in with nostalgia. MySpace‘s emails come with a link that leads users to their old photos and a tagline that reads “The good, the rad and the what were you thinking…”
This move may sound like a wise marketing technique to bring MySpace back to its glory days but it looks like many people are not pleased with what the website is doing. The network is being accused of sending embarrassing pictures to users as a blackmail scheme to help the website’s popularity grow.
MySpace denies these blackmail allegations and maintains that its intentions are pure.
