Nokia Recall: Tablet Chargers Pose Electrocution Risk

A Nokia (NOK) tablet charger that poses an electrocution hazard has forced a Nokia recall on the product.

Charger owners should stop using the product immediately as touching the plug while it’s plugged in may cause electrocution.

The Nokia recall affects about 500 chargers which the company will replace or offer a full refund for the product. Users can call Nokia toll-free at (888) 665- 4228 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.nokia.com.

No injuries related to the faulty chargers have been reported.

NOK stock is up about 3% Wednesday afternoon.
