Here are your Apple rumors and AAPL news items for today:

aapl-apple[1]iTunes: Apple (AAPL[2]) has reportedly dropped the preview times[3] for some songs on iTunes from 90 seconds to 30 seconds, MacRumors notes.  Typically, iTunes allows for 90-second previews of songs that are over 2 minutes and 30 seconds. However, many songs that are over this time are only allowing 30 second previews. There are still a few songs that have 90-second previews. It’s unknown if the change in preview time is due to a licensing issue or another problem.

A8: Recent rumors are claiming that Apple isn’t moving to a quad-core processor[4] in its next generation of devices. According to AppleInsider, these new rumors claim that the next generation iPhone and iPad will continue to use a dual-core processor. However, the rumors also claim that the processor will get a boost to 2 GHz. The new processor is still being referred to as the A8 and Apple has reportedly already received some of them from the production line.

Delay: It seems that Apple enthusiasts and tech lovers may have to wait a little longer for the iWatch[5]. New rumors claim that production of the wearable technology has been delayed to November, reports Daily Mail. This is a full month later than when the iWatch was rumored to start production. However, this doesn’t mean that Apple won’t show the device off October. One analyst estimates that the company will have released 3 million iWatches by the end of the year.
