Biggest Movers in Basic Materials Stocks Now – UAN ABX KGC PPG

Basic materials stocks finished down broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.4%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.1%, the Nasdaq declined 1.3% and the S&P 500 was down 1.1%.
Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:
- Cvr Partners LP Common Units R (UAN[1]): UAN stock is up 1.6% today.
- Barrick Gold Corp (ABX[2]): ABX stock is up 1.5% today.
- Kinross Gold Corp (KGC[3]): KGC stock is up 0.7% today.
- PPG Industries (PPG[4]): PPG stock is up 1.0% today.
- Newmont Mining Corp (NEM[5]): NEM stock is up 1.0% today.
- Methanex Corp (MEOH[6]): MEOH stock is up 0.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Agrium Inc (AGU[7]): AGU stock is up 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Sun Hydraulics Corp (SNHY[8]): SNHY stock is up 0.6% today.
- Dominion Diamond Corp (DDC[9]): DDC stock is up 0.6% today.
- Albemarle Corp (ALB[10]): ALB stock is up 0.6% today on 2 times normal volume.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Curtiss-Wright Corp (CW[11]): CW stock is down 3.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Berry Plastics Group Inc (BERY[12]): BERY stock is down 2.2% today.
- Polypore International Inc (PPO[13]): PPO stock is down 2.0% today.
- Mrc Global Inc (MRC[14]): MRC stock is down 2.0% today.
- Parker-Hannifin Corp (PH[15]): PH stock is down 2.0% today.
- Southern Peru Copper Corp (SCCO[16]): SCCO stock is down 2.0% today.
