The seven-time NBA All-Star is joining forces with Anthony and Stuart Goldfarb — former CEO of Bertelsmann — to create M7 Tech Partners. Carmelo Anthony said the VC firm will focus on technology, specifically wearable and connected devices.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in technology,” the New York Knicks player said in a statement. “We are actively looking for ventures with strong leadership that resonate with consumers.”

Goldfarb said that the M7 Tech Partners could invest on sports-related products at times but that is not its focus. He added that VC firm will invest on companies that resonate with them.
