Consumer cyclical stocks rose broadly on Wall Street on Wednesday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 1.2%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.4%, the Nasdaq was up 0.7% and the S&P 500 pushed 0.4% higher.

Some of the biggest gainers among consumer cyclical stocks include:

• Ralph Lauren Corp (RL[2]): RL stock is up 1.3% today.

• Koninklijke Philips Electronics (PHG[3]): PHG stock is up 1.3% today.

• Shutterfly (SFLY[4]): SFLY stock is up 1.2% today.

• Borgwarner Inc (BWA[5]): BWA stock is up 1.2% today.

• Gentex Corp (GNTX[6]): GNTX stock is up 1.1% today.

• Tenneco Automotive (TEN[7]): TEN stock is up 1.1% today.

• Harley-Davidson Inc (HOG[8]): HOG stock is up 1.1% today.

• General Motors Company (GM[9]): GM stock is up 1.0% today.

• Rush Enterprises (RUSHA[10]): RUSHA stock is up 0.9% today.

Some of the biggest losers among consumer cyclical stocks include:

• Select Comfort Corp (SCSS[11]): SCSS stock is down 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Dorman Products (DORM[12]): DORM stock is down 1.0% today.

• Steelcase Inc (SCS[13]): SCS stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Drew Industries Inc (DW[14]): DW stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Sturm Ruger & Company (RGR[15]): RGR stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• G-III Apparel Group (GIII[16]): GIII stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Clarcor Inc (CLC[17]): CLC stock is down 0.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
